City Hall
Monday, April 22 at 10am: Regular meeting of the Rules Committee (agenda and call-in instructions here)
Item 1 – Resolution urging the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing to prioritize families with children to receive shelter or hotel vouchers the same day that they arrive at an access point, to develop a comprehensive plan that focuses on children and families to prevent children from living on the streets, and develop a multilingual, accessible, public dashboard where families can monitor the waitlist and the progress of moving families into permanent housing. Item 36 – Resolution urging support of California State Assembly Bill No. 2115, Enhancing Methadone Treatment Access, introduced by Matt Haney.
Item 40 – Resolution supporting California State Assembly Bill No. 2479, an act to amend and add sober living facilities to the Housing First Act of 2016, also introduced by Haney.
Item 42 – Resolution supporting the 2024 Reparations Priority Bill Package, which includes 14 California State legislative bills introduced by California Legislative Black Caucus members.
